SUPERNOVA STRIKE SQUAD

Flight Sim Space Dogfighter - Programmer

Supernova Strike Squad is a space shooter designed with 6 degrees of freedom.  Move in any direction or rotation you wish, while you and a partner attempt to take down the fearsome Dreadnova.  One person takes on the role of a pilot, while the other's the gunner.  I helped make the game in a team of 8 people as part of our final years capstone in college.

WORKED ON THIS PROJECT

Programmer

AI

I worked closely with one of our other programmers to design the AI for the Fighter and Charger enemies.  The AI allows the enemies to dodge and fly around asteroids while looking for the player and shooting them.  I also designed and built the AI Manager to keep the number of enemies attacking the player to a reasonable amount.

WEAKPOINT SYSTEM

I designed and built a system for the fourth and final fight which has the player fighting against various weak points on the Dreadnovas hull, and then firing them off into space, with the corresponding effects synced up.

AMMO SYSTEM

I built out a system for keeping track of the ammunitions the player has throughout the game
